KOSAEM Refund Policy
Article 1 (Company's Refund Policy)
1. The Company's refund policy complies
with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. and its
Enforcement Decree, as well as other relevant laws and regulations.
2. Members must notify the Company of any
cancellation, refund, or change requests through the website. Upon receiving
the request, the Company will review the member's request, the other party's
position, and the Company's refund policy and process the refund as quickly as
possible.
3. Special courses, including event-based
courses, irregular courses, and specially planned courses, may have separate
cancellation, change, and refund policies. This refund policy does not apply to
free special courses.
4. In principle, refunds will be made using
the same method used by the member to make the payment, such as credit card,
mobile phone payment, or virtual account transfer. However, in cases where a
partial refund is not possible, a refund will be made using another agreed upon
method.
5. The refund amount is calculated based on
the actual payment amount, not the list price.
Article 2 (Cancellation of Courses and
Lectures)
Cancellation of courses and lectures is
governed by Article 22 of the Terms of Service.
Article 3 (Refund Method)
1. Refunds for course or lecture
cancellations are governed by the following: Depending on the reason for
cancellation and the responsibility, the refund will be borne by the instructor
or the company. Any differences resulting from exchange rate fluctuations,
foreign currency remittances, etc. will be borne by the party responsible,
depending on the reason for cancellation and the responsibility. Refunds will
be processed directly by the instructor who received the tuition. If the
instructor fails to process the refund within 14 days, the student member may
request a refund from the company. In this case, the company will process the
refund and request the refund from the instructor to protect the student
member's rights.
a. In cases falling under Article 22,
Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a and 2, Subparagraph a, or Article 22, Paragraph 1,
Subparagraph b, and 2, Subparagraphs b and c of the Terms of Service, the full
amount paid by the student will be refunded. In cases falling under Article 22,
Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs a and 2, Subparagraph a, the teacher's fee payment
will be canceled. In cases falling under Article 22, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph
b and 2, Subparagraph b, the teacher's fee payment will be canceled upon the teacher's
request.
b. In cases falling under Article 22,
Paragraph 1, Subparagraph c and 2, Subparagraph c of the Terms of Service, the
amount paid by the student will be refunded based on the ratio of the number of
cancelled lectures divided by the total number of lectures. In this case, the
teacher's fee payment will not be canceled.
c. In cases falling under Article 22,
Paragraph 5 of the Terms of Service, the entire amount paid by the student will
be refunded regardless of the number of regular lectures held within the
course. In this case, the teacher's fee payment will not be canceled.
d. In cases falling under Article 22,
Paragraph 6, the company will refund the full amount or an appropriate amount
to the student, depending on the circumstances. In cases due to the company's
circumstances, the teacher's fee payment will be canceled based on the ratio of
the amount refunded to the student. In cases due to the teacher's
circumstances, the teacher's fee payment will not be canceled.
2. If a refund or refund request arises as
described in Paragraph 1 above, the Member must notify the Company of the
details and request through the website. Upon receipt of the request, the
Company will review the details and reason for the request, the other party's
position, and the Company's refund policy, and then issue a refund as quickly
as possible.
3. Refunds will be processed using the same
payment method used by the Member, in accordance with Article 23 of the Terms
of Use. In cases where a refund is not possible, such as a partial refund, a
refund will be issued using another agreed upon method.
Article 4 (Issuance of KoSaem Coupons in
Refunds)
1. Members may request that the Company
replace the refund with the payment of KoSaem Coupons, rather than the method
specified in Article 3, Paragraph 3.
2. If the Company is aware of the reason
for a refund under Article 3, Paragraph 1, but the Member fails to make the
request under Article 3, Paragraph 2 within 7 days, the Company may replace the
refund with the payment of KoSaem Coupons.
Article 5 (Exceptions to Refunds)
1. The above refund policy does not apply
if a member is forcibly removed from the Company due to violation of applicable
laws and regulations or these Terms and Conditions.
2. Any amounts earned by a member through
coupons provided free of charge by the Company will not be refunded.
3. Notwithstanding the above provisions,
the Company may temporarily relax refund conditions for the purpose of
enhancing trust or promoting events.
Article 6 (Other)
For any refund matters not specified in
these Terms and Conditions or the Site's User Guide, the provisions of the Act
on Consumer Protection in E-Commerce, etc. and the Consumer Dispute Resolution
Standards shall apply.
